May specialize in administrative or clinical work, or specialize in a particular area of medicine, i.e. assisting in the office of an ophthalmologist (eye specialist). Works in medical offices.

Job Description
Primary duties include note taking, assisting the doctor with patient movements and treatments, and preparing the patient schedule for the following day. Secondary duties include scheduling, arriving patients and collecting payments to be able to fill in at the front desk occasionally. Although direct patient interaction is limited in this role, a kind and positive attitude is a must. Additionally, moving patients can be physically demanding at times. A candidates physical health must be able to meet these demands. Hour required are 1-6pm Monday and Wednesday, and 7:30-2-30 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
