Overview We are seeking a highly professional and dedicated, skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Must have outstanding blood draw skills and knowledge of working on labs. The ideal candidate will have experience in Internal or Family medicine. This role requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to perform both clinical and administrative tasks efficiently. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Excellent computer and EMR skills required. EPIC a plus. Office Hours are M-F 8:30 to 5:00 with lots of flexibility No nights, no weekends, no major holidays Duties Assist Doctor with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Perform intake procedures, including obtaining vitals. Administer vaccines as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation. Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management, including ICD coding and medical terminology. Provide basic life support when necessary and respond effectively in emergency situations. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the office environment. Assist with ekgs, perform blood draws, collect specimens, and other procedures as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Engage with patients regarding their , addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Answer phones and respond to messages with detail and discretion Schedule appointments, assist with records and billing Qualifications Proven experience in a medical setting such as office clinics, hospitals, or urgent care facilities. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical practices is essential. Familiarity with, internal medicine, primary care is preferred. Strong understanding of patient care principles and protocols. Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient management. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and support. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
