Full-Time Medical Assistant in Pediatrics (Farsi/Dari Speaker Preferred)

Job Overview:
• We are seeking a warm, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our physicians with back-office pediatric patient care. Fluency in Farsi or Dari is strongly preferred due to the needs of our patient population. Previous medical assisting experience is preferred, particularly in a pediatric setting. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply, especially candidates with experience working with children. We are willing to train the right person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Room patients, obtain vitals, patient history and reason for seeking care. Learning and understanding CDC recommended vaccine schedule Administering vaccines Prefer but not required: experience with EMR/EHR Basic computer knowledge; scanning, emailing, typing letters Maintain patient records confidentially Assist the provider with orders/procedures such as: prescriptions, labs, vaccines, sutures, strep testing, etc. Processing authorizations and referrals
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent situations per protocols. Maintain work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications and immunizations. Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management. Effectively cope with typical job stress. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• One to two years of medical assisting experience is preferred but not required. Completion of a vocational or technical medical assisting program and certification are preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. This position will primarily be based at our Coyle Avenue office. However, the Medical Assistant may be scheduled to work at either of our office locations based on the needs of the practice.
