Torrance Memorial Physician Network is excited to welcome applicants for Medical Assistant/ Receptionist for Pediatrics clinic in Carson, CA and Torrance, CA We are looking for motivated, self-directed team players to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. We are looking for an experienced medical assistant who is motivated to learn, grow, and work with an energetic team in our Pediatrics practice providing outstanding service and attention to our patients. Our team is cross-trained so that everyone contributes at the front desk, on the phones, with administrative duties and with assisting the doctor to see patients and do in-office procedures. Basic medical assistant duties include checking in patients, assisting doctors with in-office procedures (colpos, LEEPs, etc), blood draws and injections, phone triage, sterilization of instruments, and related duties. Must be punctual, respectful, have a friendly demeanor and be a team player. Medical Assistant primary duties will include but are not limited to: Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner Assisting the physician with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed Requesting referrals Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelines Medical Front Office primary duties include but are not limited to: Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error Scheduling appointments and surgeries Reviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completeness Verifying insurances and requesting co-payments
