Our primary care physicians and their teams provide annual exams, preventive health screenings, wellness information and diagnostic services for you and your family. With offices throughout San Diego County, our doctors specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology. Some locations also provide rheumatology and orthopedics care. When further specialty care is needed, you have access to an extensive network of medical experts throughout the region. Scripps also provides health education resources, including weight management programs, nutrition and fitness classes, and programs for chronic conditions, such as diabetes. This is a benefited, full-time position scheduled for 80 hours every two weeks, with 8-hour shifts on varied days. Shifts may be scheduled anytime between 6:40 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., while weekend and holiday shifts are typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Availability to work every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and holidays is required. Job Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, Covid swabbing, and providing patient education Wide variety of acute care patients Patient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
