As a Laboratory Technical Assistant (LTA), you will be responsible for accessioning and assisting with specimen processing, and set-up prior to analysis primarily in the Flow Cytometry Laboratories. The LTA starts daily processing to ensure successful and timely completion of test runs; prepares for and assists with related specimen processing for tests, as required; prepares laboratory reagents and supplies, as necessary; orders supplies; makes sure laboratory areas are clean and well-maintained. As a successful candidate, you will: Assists in various clinical laboratory settings, including, but not limited to, specimen pick-up, accessioning, labeling, processing for analysis and general clean-up. Assist with morning laboratory setup and assists with handling of specimens. Wash and clean laboratory equipment and supplies such as glassware, sinks and tables in accordance with hospital standards.
Your qualifications should include:
High School Bachelor's degree, preferred. Minimum of 1 year in laboratory setting / exposure to clinical laboratory environment and methods.
