Job Description

Equity Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy healthcare practice in Glendale, CA. This position is responsible for providing hands-on patient care while supporting providers with clinical and administrative responsibilities throughout the day. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Medical Assistant experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to provide professional, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs. Perform blood draws and specimen collection. Administer injections within established scope of practice. Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record. Manage clinical tasks and provider requests throughout the day. Answer and respond to patient phone calls. Communicate patient questions and concerns to providers and clinical staff. Prepare examination rooms and ensure appropriate supplies are available. Maintain accurate and timely patient records. Support efficient patient flow throughout the practice. Follow HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety requirements. Assist with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed. Required Qualifications Medical Assistant certification required. 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience. Experience with patient rooming and obtaining vital signs. Experience administering injections. Blood draw/phlebotomy experience. Strong computer literacy and ability to work within electronic medical record systems. Strong communication and patient service skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively with providers and clinical team members.
