Must be personable and professional Benefits Expected hours: 32 per week, Tuesdays off initially. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to checking in and screening patients, taking medical histories, performing imaging, and preparing rooms for patient examinations and procedures. Working with electronic charts, some medical insurance and cross training expected. About us Long Beach Retina is a growing privately-owned medical practice across the street from LBX/Long Beach Airport looking for a self-motivated, personable, and professional student to join as an ophthalmology assistant. Our goal is to integrate qualified candidates into the daily flow of our specialized ophthalmology practice and offer hands-on training in patient care under the mentorship of a board-certified retina surgeon.

Hours:

8-5, 1 hour lunch Duties include but are not limited to checking in and screening patients, taking medical histories, performing imaging, and preparing rooms for patient examinations and procedures. Additional duties may include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and preparing charts. Qualified individuals will be fully trained on the job. Must be personable and professional. Education and background requirements Excellent people/patient care skills required Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
