Job Description
Job Description The Medical Assistant, Lead functions as a clinical team lead for the Medical Assistants in the office. This position supports the physician and clinical staff in the delivery of health care by performing a variety of medically related tasks with the ability, skill and knowledge to work in more than one specialty area. This position is responsible for the orientation and clinical training of Medical Assistants based on the approved standard work. This position also assists with providing a review of Medical Assistant clinical and administrative skills, assessing the workflow of Medical Assistants and monitoring staff/scheduling coverage. Qualifications Education High School Diploma/GED
- minimum Assoc. Degree/College Diploma in Medical Assisting from an accredited educational program and/or Medical Assistant Certification from Board approved Medical Assistant Organization.
- minimum Vocational/Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited X-Ray program.
- preferred Experience 5 years Experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting
- minimum 6 years Experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting
- preferred Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Upon Hire minimum Certification needs to be the AHA Healthcare Provider type only Certified Registered Medical Assistant
- Upon Hire preferred Certification from Board approved Medical Assistant Organization.
