We are interested in applicants with front and back office experience. This position entails working in a very fast- paced/busy office. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision are a must. We offer an excellent compensation package with health benefits, 401K retirement plan, paid time off. Job Summary Responsibilities includes works as a medical assistant, rooming patients, taking vitals, scheduling patients assisting physicians with injections, casting among other things.
Essential Functions:
Requesting Authorizations Document in electronic medical records Manage medical records Schedule patient appointments Assist physicians and other providers with exams and procedures Call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies Change dressings Clean and maintain instruments and medical equipment Collect data about previous health, medical and surgical history from patients Measure patent vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, pulse and temperature), height and weight Remove staples and stitches Stock exam roomsCore Competences:
Responsible for promoting the Standards of Excellence for Orthopedic Specialists while demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, volunteers, peers and physicians- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work during heavy workload situations to expedite patient care
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA compliance
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
- Work independently while understanding the need to communicate and coordinate work efforts with other employees and organizations.
