Job Description

Medical Assistant / Front Office Assistant Full-Time | In-Person Our well-established pediatric medical practice in Mill Valley is seeking a motivated, professional, and enthusiastic Medical Assistant / Front Office Assistant to join our team. This individual must be able to multitask efficiently, maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional patient care and customer service. This position requires flexibility to support both front office and back office clinical duties . Front Office Responsibilities Answer multi-line phones, screen and route calls appropriately Greet and assist patients in a professional and timely manner Schedule and edit appointments for new and returning patients Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information Inform patients of authorization requirements and payment responsibilities Collect and post co-pays Obtain required registration and consent signatures Prepare and retrieve patient charts Print and review scheduling reports File and retrieve documents Maintain excellent customer service at all times Send out patient surveys Perform other duties as assigned Back Office Responsibilities Greet patients courteously and maintain a welcoming environment Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Register patients according to office protocols Assist patients with completing required forms Prepare patients for examinations and document findings Provide clinical support to providers Perform basic laboratory screenings Administer vaccines per provider orders File laboratory reports and maintain accurate medical records Clean and sterilize instruments according to protocol Maintain exam rooms, lab areas, and equipment Ensure adequate clinical and office supplies are available Prepare clinical areas prior to clinic start Participate in staff meetings and trainings Assist clinical team members as requested Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of pediatric front desk and/or back office medical assistant experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Epic EHR (preferred) Knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency with computer systems and office software Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and staff Job Type Full-Time In-person (No remote work available)
