Job Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and updating medical records.
- Traveling to our Montebello and ELA location as needed
- Assist physicians and nurses with exams, procedures, and treatments, including medication administration.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
- Conduct basic medical cardiac testing, including EKGs.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide patient education and support, including educating patients on medications and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Submit Authorizations as needed for cardiac services.
- Perform cardiac testing (treadmills), place cardiac monitors on patients.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, particularly in cardiology and internal medicine.
- Experience working in a clinic setting 6 months to 1 year preferred.
- Proficiency in medication, terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide patient education and support.
Pay:
$18.00- $21.
