Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support clinical operations by managing administrative tasks, assisting with patient care activities, and ensuring smooth clinic workflows. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient services in an outpatient setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in medical support and patient care will make a meaningful difference. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, medical records and preparing chart notes.tal signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks and procedures. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and securely. Assist with ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for billing and insurance purposes, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards. Prepare examination rooms and assist with minor procedures in outpatient setting. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding standards. Proven experience minimum of 2 years documented. Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and data management. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Ability to perform intake assessments, record vital signs accurately, and assist with medication and procedure instructions when necessary. Basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
