Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for medical records and document requests. What You'll Do Update systems with medical records information. Prepare letters, applications, and requests for medical records and death certificates. Request Social Security, union, and other records. Follow up with facilities to obtain records and resolve requests. Process medical and billing records upon receipt. Process invoices for payment. Review records to identify dates of medical visits. Perform data entry, filing, copying, faxing, electronic service, and other clerical duties. Provide backup support to the team and assist with additional tasks as needed. Requirements 1+ year of office experience and/or legal experience required. Some college preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage a high volume of work while meeting deadlines. Professional, positive, and organized approach. Accurate typing speed of 30-40 WPM. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat, WordPerfect, and databases preferred.
