Job Description

Job Summary:
A board certified orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in complex adult and pediatric spine care is looking for a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant/Personal Assistant. This position will will support both the daily operations of a busy medical practice and the personal administrative needs of the physician. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and supporting the physician's day-to-day efficiency. Key Responsibilities Personal Assistant Duties Run errands for the physician, including dry cleaning, mail handling, personal shopping, etc. Pick up lunch, coffee, and supplies as needed Travel to offsite clinics as needed. Drive the physician to meetings, events, or other destinations as requested Assist with scheduling, reminders, and personal calendar management Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Support general organizational tasks to streamline the physician's workflow Assist with practice social media efforts, including but not limited to filming, interviewing, updating content, engagement, and sharing educational content. Other duties as assigned. Medical Administrative Duties Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments using the EMR system Answer phones, check voicemail, and return calls promptly and professionally Update and file medical records, insurance documentation, and reports Facilitate completion of disability forms Perform insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and office visits Check in patients and update charts accurately Prepare and set up rooms for exams, treatments, and procedures Qualifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative Comfortable running errands and performing non‑clinical tasks Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to maintain composure and problem‑solve under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt to changing needs and workflows Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Strong time‑management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
