Full Job Description Employment Type:
Part time and Full-Time Position Employment Job Description Talented, experienced Medical Assistants needed for our Podiatry practice in Palmdale and Lancaster. This position is primarily based in our Palmdale Office . However, occasional travel to our Lancaster office may be required to provide coverage and support as needed. The Medical Assistant will provide support in both the back office and, on busy patient days, the front office as needed. Applicants must function at a high level in a fast-paced environment, be able to prioritize tasks, and possess excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative and consistently gives their best effort.
Duties Include:
Setting up for and assisting with procedures Stocking exam rooms Answering phones Obtaining authorizations Verifying insurance benefits Scheduling and confirming appointments Explaining treatment plans to patients Acting as a liaison between the doctor and patients Performing other back-office duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office preferred Experience with authorizations and administrative tasks preferred but not required Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Self-motivated team player with a desire to learn, take on responsibility, and grow with the practice Please send your resume and cover letter if interested and qualified.
