Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient encounters, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and handling patient inquiries professionally. Conduct routine clinical procedures including ICD coding, anatomy and physiology assessments, and vital sign measurements to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures in various specialties. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program is required. Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices for at least 3 years. Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and anatomy/physiology principles. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification is essential. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and those requiring emergency or surgical care.
