A Medical Assistant assists physicians and other medical specialists with routine administrative or clinical tasks. Organizes patient records, schedules appointments, and prepares medical equipment. May specialize in administrative or clinical work, or specialize in a particular area of medicine, i.e. assisting in the office of an ophthalmologist (eye specialist). Works in medical offices.

YOUR HOME LOCATION
Your primary office will be: RCMC Rancho Cucamonga However, this position must be willing and able to occasionally help cover at our other locations when needed: Hesperia Banning Being a team player is VERY important to us. If another office is struggling and needs help, we help our RCMC family.
SCHEDULE
Your regular workweek will be: Monday — Work Tuesday — Work Wednesday — Work Thursday — OFF Friday — Work Saturday — 8:00 AM-12:00 PM Sunday — OFF Weekday hours will follow the Rancho clinic schedule. This position does require dependable Saturday availability.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
This is a hands-on Medical Assistant position. You will be working directly with our patients and helping make sure they have an AMAZING experience from the moment they walk in until the moment they leave.
Your responsibilities may include:
Patient Care Greeting patients with warmth and making them feel comfortable Rooming patients Taking and documenting weight, vitals, measurements, and other required information Reviewing the reason for the patient's visit Preparing patients for the provider Assisting our medical providers during patient visits Helping nervous patients feel safe, heard, and cared for Making sure patients understand their next steps before they leave Following up when something needs additional attention Injections + Clinical Duties Depending on training, certification, provider orders, and applicable scope of practice: Preparing and administering injections Drawing up medications correctly Assisting with vitamin and wellness injections Assisting with GLP-1 and other prescribed treatment protocols Blood draws/venipuncture if properly trained and certified Preparing supplies for procedures Maintaining clean and properly stocked patient rooms Following infection-control and sharps-safety procedures Proper medication storage and handling Following all provider orders and RCMC clinical protocols Patient safety comes FIRST. Always. If you don't know something, we expect you to ASK — never guess. Charting + Documentation Documenting visits accurately in the patient's chart Making sure medications, doses, treatments, and patient information are entered correctly Reviewing charts for missing information Keeping patient information accurate and organized Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Making sure required consents and documentation are completed Communicating important patient concerns to the appropriate provider or team member Medication + Inventory Helping maintain medication and medical-supply inventory Checking expiration dates Keeping medication areas organized Helping ensure medications and supplies are properly labeled and stored Reporting low inventory BEFORE it becomes an emergency Following RCMC medication-dispensing procedures Double-checking patient information before medication is released Keeping the Office AMAZING Everybody at RCMC helps.
