As a Medical Assistant in our facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional patient care. You will work under the supervision of our medical staff, assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner Perform initial patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatments Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, including specimen collection and processing Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinic area Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and verifying insurance information
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant training program required Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) credentials required Previous experience working in urgent care, primary care, or a similar clinical setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic pharmacology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite CPR certification preferred
