Immunizations Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our pediatric practice in Rancho Cucamonga. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, administering vaccines, utilizing electronic medical records, and providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider. Maintain accurate immunization records in CAIR2. Ensure compliance with California Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program requirements. Schedule appointments, answer phones, and perform patient follow-up. Maintain accurate documentation in Practice Fusion EMR. Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certificate required. Minimum 2 year of pediatric experience preferred. Knowledge of pediatric vaccine administration and CDC/California immunization schedules. Experience with CAIR2 and VFC vaccine documentation. Familiarity with IEHP and other managed care health plans. Proficient in Practice Fusion EMR, including charting, patient documentation, prescription management, and appointment scheduling. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric office. Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese preferred but not required.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
