Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance information.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.
- Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in electronic health records.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting and preparing specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, including wound care and suture removal.
Qualifications:
Must speak Spanish.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a medical assistant preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medical office procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and equipment is required.
