Job Description
Overview Roseville Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented medical assistant. We have a growing practice of 5 surgeons, 2 physician assistants and a second location in El Dorado Hills. Our team is friendly, professional, and efficient. We value patient care, compassion and teamwork. If this sounds like you, please apply. Responsibilities Rooming patients 2-3 days a week/Admin days 2 days a week. Taking vitals, injection set up, stocking rooms, room set up and chart prep to ensure proper records are available for the appointment. Authorization requests for outgoing referrals (imaging, physical therapy, injections) Complete disability/fmla paperwork and work related notes Clinical calls regarding prescriptions, post op questions and patient requests. Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, medical history and medications. Surgery scheduling- schedule into block time, request authorization, monitoring pre-op labs and EKGs and scheduling appropriate pre and post op appointments. Ability to multitask while providing excellent patient care and professionalism.
