DirectDerm connects patients and referring physicians to the leading dermatologists through a secure web and mobile platform for timely, affordable consultations and accurate and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plans. As we expand our aervies and grow We are looking for a Part-Time bright, passionate and dedicated individual to join our medical team in Salinas, CA. Tasks include but are not limited to: Greeting patients warmly, providing service information, and ensuring a positive experience, addressing any concerns to make patients feel comfortable and informed. Record medical histories, explain procedures, and prepare patients for exams and treatments. Assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures, including biopsies, ensuring all necessary supplies are ready, and providing support as an extra pair of hands when needed. Perform skin care tasks such as dressing applications, suture removal, and other treatments with a focus on patient comfort. Capture high-quality digital images of skin conditions, ensuring clarity, proper lighting, and accurate angles for diagnostic purposes. Manage a high volume of calls in our call center, providing patients with timely responses, answering inquiries, and scheduling appointments across all clinic locations. Coordinate patient care by communicating with different clinic locations and ensuring smooth appointment scheduling and follow-up. Handle administrative tasks, including checking patients in, verifying and updating patient demographics, confirming insurance details, and ensuring proper insurance coverage and copays. Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines and ensuring the security of sensitive information. Communicate test results and care instructions to patients under the supervision of dermatologists, ensuring clarity and effective follow-up. Prioritize patient calls, manage multiple inquiries efficiently, and ensure all patient needs are addressed in a timely manner. An ideal candidate would preferably have a minimum of 1 year MA experience. However NEW Medical Assistant graduates are welcome!. In addition, we are looking for candidates with: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (Required). Proficient in computer skills and capable of effectively using medical office software. Demonstrates professionalism, promptness, and politeness in handling phone calls. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong listening abilities. A self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and can work independently. Highly professional with strong interpersonal skills, committed to providing exceptional patient care. Reliable and dependable, ensuring consistent performance. Available for flexible hours, including rotating weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a fast-paced team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members. - Compensation can depend on experience level.
