Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in San Bernardino. The ideal candidate will support clinical and administrative functions within various medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and medical-surgical settings. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care. The successful applicant will possess strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across diverse specialties such as Family Practice, Women's Health, and Pediatrics Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring a clean environment. Communicate with Spanish speaking patients Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Collect specimens for laboratory testing such as phlebotomy procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting patient histories, medical notes, medication lists, and treatment plans with precision. Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical histories, and addressing patient inquiries professionally. Assist with medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation of all procedures performed. Maintain medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Skills:

Proven experience in medical healthcare setting. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools. Strong clinical skills including vital signs measurement, specimen collection (phlebotomy), medication administration Must be fluent in Spanish Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in high-pressure situations.

Pay:

Up to $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
