Medical Assistant•Internal Medicine•Torrey Pines Scripps Health United States, California, La Jolla Aug 29, 2026 Description This is a benefited, full-time position generally working Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm. May include an occasional Saturday. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla. Why join Scripps Health? Our hard-working Internal Medicine team is a friendly, family-orientated department that is very warm and welcoming. What you'll do: The ideal candidates if willing to work with multiple providers and be flexible with day to day job duties
Rooming patients
Checking vitals
Assisting with procedures
Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
Organizes and performs patient care services that support the provider's practice
Relaying instructions from the provider to the patient or authorized person
Collecting patient data in person and by phone
Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
Administering medications specifically directed by the provider
Scheduling of appointments and procedures
Complete and accurate message taking
Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
Order and referral entry
Acquisition of pre-certifications
Setting up of cases in EPIC
Basic registration and updating of demographics
Other duties assigned as needed
