Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medication information. Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and clinical procedures. Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as permitted by training and applicable regulations. Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies and equipment. Assist with patient intake, rooming, discharge instructions, and follow-up coordination. Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits as needed. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR). Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation. Communicate with patients regarding appointments, care instructions, and routine clinical needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, infection control, and safety requirements. Support providers and clinic staff with administrative and clinical duties as needed. Experience and requirements 2 Years of prior experience working as a Medical Assistant Medical Assistant National Certification required.
