ABOUT THE ROLE OSI

Beverly Hills is an orthopedic, spine, and pain management practice in San Leandro seeking a per diem Medical Assistants to run the clinical back office and keep our days moving. Many of our patients are recovering from work or accident injuries and want to be seen quickly and treated well. The Medical Assistant sets the pace of the clinic: rooming and preparing patients, assisting providers with procedures, keeping documentation and authorizations on track, and leading the medical assistant team. We are looking for someone who is both an excellent hands-on medical assistant and a steady leader. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as many of our patients speak Spanish at home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Room patients, take vitals and histories, and prepare them for evaluation and procedures Assist providers with joint and soft-tissue injections and other in-office procedures Coordinate imaging orders and results, referrals to physical therapy, and follow-up scheduling Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing as needed Support accurate, timely workers' compensation and personal-injury paperwork: records requests, prior authorizations, and routing of reports (providers write the clinical notes; you keep the file complete) Manage the electronic medical record: keep charts, orders, and messages current and clean Team lead Keep patient flow moving so wait times stay short and same-week access holds Manage clinical supplies, inventory, and room turnover Oversee opening and closing and the daily readiness of the clinical space Support infection control, OSHA, and CLIA compliance Serve as the link between the providers, the front office, and the patients

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an accredited medical assistant program Two or more years of medical assistant experience, including some lead or training responsibility Current BLS certification Comfortable with electronic medical records and clinic scheduling Dependable, organized, and calm in a busy clinic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA, CMA, or RMA) Experience in orthopedics, spine, pain management, or another procedural specialty Familiarity with California workers' compensation and personal-injury workflows (authorizations, records, PR-2 routing) Phlebotomy and injection-assist experience Bilingual in
