We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform basic life support and emergency care as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical administrative support tasks. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Collaborate with various departments, including internal medicine, dermatology, and emergency medicine, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Support hospital medicine initiatives within a Level II trauma center setting. Requirements Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential. Experience in hospital medicine or internal medicine is preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize with patients' needs. Familiarity with dermatology practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of emergency medicine environments. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Previous experience in a medical assistant role or relevant clinical experience is advantageous.
