Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•Cardiology Role Overview The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•Cardiology delivers specialized clinical and administrative support to our cardiology team at Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group, conducting patient intake, performing cardiac diagnostic testing, managing medication reconciliations, and facilitating seamless patient care in our Valencia, CA clinic. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•
Cardiology Key Responsibilities Clinical Diagnostic Testing:
Perform standard 12-lead EKGs, hook up dynamic cardiac monitors (Holter/event monitors), take accurate manual and automated blood pressures, and assist cardiologists with specialized in-office procedures.
Patient Intake & Care Coordination:
Perform comprehensive medication reconciliations, room patients, document medical histories accurately in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and confirm daily patient appointments.
Prescription & Administrative Management:
Process prescription refill requests, coordinate physician orders, handle specialized prior authorizations, and maintain clean clinical documentation.
Advanced Procedural Support:
Train and assist with advanced non-invasive cardiac procedures, including nuclear/treadmill stress testing and in-office implanted loop recorder insertion procedures.
Patient Advocacy & Clinic Operations:
Deliver compassionate, professional communication to patients and families; maintain clean, sanitized examination rooms; and stock clinical supplies to ensure efficient daily clinic operations. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•
Cardiology Qualifications & Requirements Cardiology Clinical Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of direct clinical experience working in a cardiology practice or cardiovascular clinic setting ( Required ).
Active Certification:
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential ( Required ).
Core Technical Competencies:
Demonstrated proficiency in running 12-lead EKGs, accurate blood pressure measurement, medication reconciliation, and EMR charting ( Required ).
Attendance & Reliability:
Proven record of exceptional dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance in a fast-paced medical practice ( Required ).
Commute & Location:
Ability to work full-time on-site at our Valencia, CA medical office ( Required ). Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•
Cardiology Preferred Qualifications Specialized Diagnostic Skills:
Prior experience operating treadmill/nuclear stress testing equipment, performing Holter monitor analysis, or assisting with minor cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Advanced EMR Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with clinical workflows and documentation within leading specialty EMR platforms. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)•
Cardiology Compensation, Structure & Benefits Compensation:
Competitive hourly base rate commensurate with specialized cardiology experience ($23.00•$27.00/hour DOE).
Work Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday through Friday, standard daytime clinic hours (No nights or weekends).
