Job Description

Our client, a Healthcare company, is looking for an Employee Health Medical Assistant for their Vacaville, CA location.
Responsibilities:
The Employee Health MA assists with the care and management of the employee's health services. Primary focus is assisting with health clinics i.e. Flu, Respiratory Fit Testing, or others as needed. May also be used for special project work related to Employee Health initiatives, onboarding or back up task assistance to the RN Coordinators or MA Employee Health Specialist. May also assist the Employee Health Support Specialist as needed. Assists with operation of Employee Health clinics, including but not limited to: Flu, Respiratory Fit Testing, other health related employee clinics. May assist with reviewing all new hire information to ensure all proper medical requirements are completed at appointment. Reviews clearance record for new hire physicals to clear for medical. Assists with verifying medical clearance and/or return to work for staff, interns, students, physicians, temporary staff and/or any other persons as identified by Human Resources. Assists with supporting exposures, injuries, return to work, etc. Coordinates appropriate follow up, as needed. Assists in promoting health services to employees that meet established medical standards, OSHA Regulations and organizational policies. Assists with gathering and uploading TB results. Will help with preventative wellness projects. Participates in performance improvement, wellness and injury reduction activities. Participates actively on assigned committees or projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Basic medical terminology, typing, and computer skills. Extremely high attention to detail. High work initiative, and autonomy necessary in order to successfully do this role. Maintains confidentiality. Critical thinking. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program certificate. Classwork regarding medication administration required. Current AHA or equivalent certification in BLS. Medical Assistant state or national certification within 3 months of hire. Internal competency completed for injections. Previous experience with medication administration required. One year of acute care hospital experience or ambulatory care setting preferred.
