Job Description

Job Overview United Staffing is recruiting for a local Ophthalmologist office in Visalia. This is a back office Medical Assistant position. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently and accurately Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in specialties associated with Ophthalmology. Prior experience working for an Ophthalmologist helpful or prior consistent experience as a Medical Assistant willing to learn. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program or certifying body Proven experience working in medical offices with familiarity in medical terminology and documentation practices Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology principles, ICD coding standards, and medical-surgical procedures Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and those requiring complex care management.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
