Responsibilities:

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Perform blood draws Administration of injections and vaccines Room prep physical exams Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean Stock medical providers treatment rooms with products and supplies at least once daily Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians' instructions to patients Set up medical laboratory equipment Assist with prescription refill requests and communicate prescription-related information to pharmacies as directed by the provider. Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies Inventory and order medical, lab, and office supplies and equipment Follow operational policies and procedures Assist medical providers with patients, handing them instruments and materials for performing tasks Performs Medical Assistant duties and other clerical duties as assigned
