One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability.
Every day you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills.. To be successful in this role, you will bring enthusiasm to help others and the ability to work efficiently and provide empathy for our patients. Job Duties Obtain all required information for the provider prior to the patient's appointment. Prepare the patient prior to the provider entering the treatment room. Keep accurate documentation in the patient's chart pertaining to the appointment or any interaction with a patient within her/his scope of service, (i.e., daily chart preparation for visit, medication refills or response to written order given by the provider or phone messages). Interview individuals and obtain comprehensive and accurate information, prioritize incoming telephone calls appropriately. Communicate effectively in oral and written form. Job Requirements Required High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED who possesses a certificate to paractive as a Medical Assistant.
