Job Description
About Us Mile High Medical Exams is a new, physician-owned medical exam clinic in Aurora, CO specializing in USCIS immigration physicals (Form I-693), DOT/CDL physicals, pre-employment and medical clearance physicals. We're led by a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who is also a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon and FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner. We're looking for experienced Medical Assistants, preferably bilingual, to help us build an efficient and welcoming clinic experience for all of our patients. The Role This is a part-time, in-person Medical Assistant position supporting a single-provider clinic. You'll work directly alongside the physician-owner and at times another MA, handling patient intake, vitals, lab coordination, and paperwork preparation for our different exam types. What You'll Do Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Perform medical procedures such as phlebotomy, basic labs, and vaccine administration Prepare and organize documentation for I-693 Immigration Physicals, DOT physicals, and various other types of physical exams Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) communication support for patients as needed Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate follow-up care to optimize clinic flow. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment What We're Looking For Experience with Immigration physicals and/or DOT physicals highly desirable Spanish-speaking preferred — some of our Immigration patients will be more comfortable communicating in Spanish Prior experience in an acute care or clinic setting Comfort with phlebotomy, vaccine administration and lab processing Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and patient scheduling platforms. Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred Comfortable working independently in a small, high-trust team Reliable, punctual, and professional with patients
