Work Schedule:
The position requires two in-clinic days — Wednesday and Thursday, 7:30 AM
  • 5:15 PM (Mountain Time).
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Rooming:
Manage patients via Athena, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish of their telehealth visit.
In-Person Appointments:
Welcome patients warmly, facilitate readiness for clinic visits, and ensure they are well-informed about procedures.
Clinical Support:
Record vital signs, assist during examinations, and prepare equipment for physician use.
Room Maintenance:
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and equipped with the necessary supplies.
Procedure Assistance:
Provide support for in-clinic procedures such as PAP setup and training.
Communication:
Handle incoming calls, provide medication and treatment guidance, and conduct patient callbacks as directed.
Administrative Tasks:
Enter patient information into the computerized system, manage appointment scheduling, and provide back-up assistance for other PSS roles.
Compliance:
Adhere strictly to
HIPAA, OSHA
regulations, and other organizational policies.
Professional Development:
Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional Expectations:
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Prioritize patient confidentiality. Ensure punctuality and adherence to work schedules. Uphold the organization's reputation and values.
Qualifications:
Minimum two years in a medical office setting. Familiarity with medical terminology. Proficient in computer use with an emphasis on accuracy over speed.
Credentials:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or RMA/CMA certification.
Key Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of organizational care policies and regulations. Ability to identify problems and devise solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with both patients and medical professionals. Capacity to handle emergencies with calm and effectiveness. Clear communication skills. Fluency in Spanish preferred, but not required.
Physical & Environmental Aspects:
Proficiency in physical tasks such as lifting, assisting patients, and manual dexterity for computer work. Exposure to potential hazards, including communicable diseases. Comfortable working in a dynamic medical office setting with frequent staff and patient interactions. Willingness to handle challenging situations, including dealing with distressed individuals.
