Job Description

Delta Health Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. What You'll Do Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medications, and patient concerns. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care. Document patient histories, procedures, test results, and provider notes in the EHR. Serve as a medical scribe when requested. Perform blood draws, administer injections and medications, and provide wound care as permitted within scope of practice. Communicate with patients regarding test results, medications, and follow-up care. Schedule appointments and diagnostic testing. Answer phones and communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies by phone and electronic messaging. Maintain accurate medical records and protect patient confidentiality. Order and maintain supplies and assist with other clinic duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Current CMA or EMT certification required upon hire or within 18 months of hire. RMA certification through AMT preferred. BLS certification required upon hire. Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Knowledge of basic clinical and patient-care procedures. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, and repetitive hand movements. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and assist patients when needed. Position may involve exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Why Join Delta Health?
