Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and motivated full time medical assistant who can do front and back office work. The hours will be 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The medical assistant is a key member of the patient care team by supporting the providers with the delivery of high quality health care to ambulatory patients. Medical assistants are vital to the effective operations of a fast-paced medical practice. This person will be a part of a team that is dedicated to improving the quality and delivery of healthcare to our patients in a fast paced, private internal medicine practice. We have been in practice since 2019 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Act as a liaison between patients and providers/specialists Exudes excellent communication and coordination among the team Greets and prepares patients for examination, treatments, and procedures and obtain weights, vital signs, and short patient history. Assist providers with important clinical duties, such as physical examinations Observes, records, and reports patient information in EMR Provides verbal and written instructions to patients according to protocol and/or as physician directs, accessing their understanding of the materials. Arranges for and follows up on outstanding referrals, tests, treatments, therapy, and hospital admissions. Collect specimens for testing i.e Venipuncture Administrative and Clinical Experiencing is a must
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current Medical Assistant Certification/Registration required - CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA or CMAC. Non-certified Medical Assistants / MA must obtain certification or registration within four months of hire with AMG-approved certifying bodies (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA or CMAC). Will consider pre-med, pre-nurse practitioner, and pre-pharmaceutical Current AHA CPR certification High School Diploma or GED Previous experience, medical office setting preferred Computer experience (EMR experience is required, preferably Eclinicial works Able to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and the general public
