Medical AssistantJob Description As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with patients from start to finish, providing essential support to healthcare providers. This role offers hands-on clinical experience and is an excellent opportunity for those pursuing higher education in the medical field. It is particularly ideal for recent graduates looking to acquire clinical, scribe, and patient-facing hours prior to applying for medical school. Responsibilities + Support patients from check-in to check-out to ensure a seamless visit. + Room patients and gather vitals, history, and relevant clinical information. + Scribe during the visit to accurately document the provider's assessment and plan. + Present patient information and updates to the physician before the exam. + Follow up with the provider after each visit to complete orders, referrals, and next steps. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree required; ideal degrees include pre-med, biology, integrative physiology, or other pre-med related fields. + Strong interest in pursuing a future career in healthcare. + Ability to learn quickly and work closely with providers. + Excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Customer service experience. + Proficiency in medical assisting and terminology. + Experience with electronic medical records, particularly Epic EMR. + Previous experience as a medical assistant or scribe. Work Environment Work at a heart and vascular clinic with locations in Lakewood and another site, requiring the ability to float between both. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Most of the time will be spent in Golden, with some flexibility required. The clinic offers a supportive environment, great networking opportunities, and long-term career growth with a team of dedicated doctors. The clinic encourages continuous learning and professional development. Dress code is professional attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
