Responsibilities of this dual role of Mohs Lab Technician & Medical Assistant include : Grow as medical and surgical assistant with competencies such as, warmly greeting patients, rooming, scribing, patient counseling and education, clinic triage, prior authorizations, sterilizing instruments, and stocking exam rooms. Cross-train as a Mohs Lab Technician and develop excellent technique in preparing Mohs frozen sections and microscope slides. Master laboratory compliance requirements according to CLIA and OSHA standards. Monitor and optimize inventory of lab supplies and equipment. Communicate with patients and team members to facilitate an exceptional patient experience. Organize information and multiple tasks with attention to detail and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
