Job Description

Center for Spine and Orthopedics is an internationally recognized orthopedic center in the northern part of the city, specializing in spine surgery, general orthopedic surgery, and pain management. We have a great team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. We are looking to add a valuable team member to our staff. We take pride in providing outstanding care to our patients. We are looking for a Limited Scope Medical Assistant to join our team, assisting our orthopedic surgeons . One year of previous medical assisting experience/limited scope x-ray experience required, and previous orthopedic experience would be highly desirable. Duties include assisting with taking x-rays, rooming patients, ordering diagnostic tests for patients, obtaining preauthorization for surgeries from insurance companies, scheduling surgeries and procedures, and other aspects of medical assisting for provider. You should possess excellent customer service skills as well as be outgoing and friendly. Prior knowledge of EMR helpful. Strong computer and keyboarding skills are required. Highly organized and ability to multi-task. We are seeking a self-starter who is willing to go above and beyond, Come work with a great team. Our office hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:45 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 7:45 am to 1:00 p.m. With the half-day work schedule on Friday your weekend can start early.
