Medical Assistant Qualifications/Skills:

Medical Assistant certification preferred Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in urgent care, primary care, or family practice Proficient in obtaining and documenting vital signs and patient histories Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Medication Prior Authorization Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and patient care procedures Skilled in phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures preferred Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Dependable, professional, and team-oriented

Medical Assistant Job Requirements:

Medical Assistant know-how and competencies: High school diploma or GED required Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire Ability to perform clinical duties, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, administering injections (if permitted by state regulations), and collecting specimens Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care environment Must be reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
