School-Based Healthcare | Grades K-12 Position Overview Our client is seeking a Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to provide clinical and administrative support in a school-based healthcare setting serving K-12 students. This is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and adolescents and is looking for a consistent weekday schedule with long-term career potential. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment and a comprehensive benefits package upon hire. Training Information To ensure a successful onboarding experience, selected candidates will participate in a structured training program conducted in Ossining, NY approximately twice per week for the first 2-3 months of employment. Travel reimbursement is provided for approved training-related travel expenses. Candidates residing in Brewster, Pawling, Carmel, Hopewell Junction, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, Millbrook, and surrounding Dutchess and Putnam County communities are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Support healthcare providers with student examinations, treatments, and routine clinical procedures. Record vital signs, patient histories, and screening results, including vision and hearing screenings. Perform and document basic laboratory testing, EKGs, spirometry, and other procedures within training and scope of practice. Collect and process specimens while maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR). Assist with student registration, scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes. Provide bilingual English/Spanish communication support for students and families. Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and assist with inventory and supply management. Follow all patient privacy, confidentiality, and safety protocols. Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required. High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience. Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Pediatric, adolescent, family practice, community health, or school-based healthcare experience preferred.
