D. UCONN NOCTURNIST PROGRAM
Clinical duties will include the supervision of residents, and advanced practitioners in admitting patients to the medical and intermediate care units, performing timely medical preoperative evaluations and consultations for acute/chronic medical issues. The nocturnist physician will work an overnight schedule in a block fashion that includes an approximate 12 hour shift from 7PM to 7AM. The nocturnist physician may, at times, admit patients independent of the residents and advanced practitioners. Located in central Connecticut, approximately 2 hrs from Boston and New York, there are a wide range of upscale living choices including top rated schools, proximity to many cultural activities, the country and the beach.
