Job Description
Company Overview The New England Stem Cell Institute is a specialized medical practice dedicated to sports medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, and regenerative medicine (including PRP and stem cell treatments). We are a recognized international leader in Regenerative Medicine. Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our outstanding team. This vital role supports clinical operations, enhances patient experiences, and ensures smooth functioning of our medical practice. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments Take and record vital signs accurately while ensuring patient comfort and safety Prepare patients for exams by collecting medical histories and performing basic assessments Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting medical information, updating records, and ensuring accuracy in medical documentation Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, managing patient intake processes, and obtaining required insurance authorization Perform phlebotomy and medication administration under supervision as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, keeping exam room supplies stocked, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Familiarity with EHR systems (Electronic Health Records) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) management software Basic life support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire Strong understanding of physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical records management Experience working in urgent care, outpatient clinics, or specialty practices is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Benefits Benefits include paid holidays off, paid time off, pension plan, health insurance, no nights/weekends, and an outstanding work environment DEI Statement We place a priority on job performance and employees taking both pride in, and personal responsibility for, their actions, irrespective of their race, religion, political viewpoints, or sexual orientation.
