Job Description

Consulting Cardiologists, PC is Connecticut's leading independent cardiology practice. As scientific advances continue to improve the diagnostic and treatment options available to our patients with cardiovascular disease, we continue to be at the forefront, a commitment which the practice has demonstrated from our start more than 30 years ago. Seeking a full time 40/wk Monday-Friday Certified Medical Assistant.
Duties/Responsibilites:
Multiple office locations/travel Taking and recording vital signs EKG's Medical histories Prepare patients for examination Medication refills Prior Authorizations EMR documentation Cardiac monitor placement Triage/answering and returning patient calls Restocking/maintaining cleanliness of rooms Other tasks as assigned
Physical Demands:
Walking, minimal lifting, sitting/standing for extended periods of time, computer use, kneel/crouch, reaching out with hands and arms.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent RMA or CMA Applicants must have graduated with an Associates Degree in medical assisting from an accredited college or a graduate of an accredited medical Assistant program, and completed 160 clinical hours. If certification has not been completed it would need to be within 90 days of hire. Current BLS required Experience 1 year clinical medical assisting preferred Proficient computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records knowledge of medical terminology Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
