Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for medical tests and procedures and occasionally assist on and off exam table as needed.
- Take and record patient history and vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Must be able to occasionally lift 20lbs while stocking supplies and moving equipment.
- Restock patient rooms
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records and advise test results
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare provider
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferably EPIC
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
