Job Description

Job Overview The Medical Assistant works alongside a successful Providers to support the clinical needs of the practice. The Medical Assistant position may also support the Front Office with administrative tasks, as needed, and will be cross-trained to be a valuable member of both the front and back-office teams. Responsibilities
  • Preparing patients for provider examinations.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and strep tests. EKG and Spirometry.
  • Scheduling and obtaining prior authorization for radiology appointment Cross train and cover front desk and on phones as needed.
Qualifications Front Desk experience a plus. Candidate must be proficient on a computer and familiar with EMR Comfortable talking to patients and addressing concerns Ability to calmly handle stressful situations and maintain a positive attitude Excellent people skills and ability to communicate well Outgoing, friendly, creative, and team -oriented Knowledge of medications
