The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient service, particularly in internal medicine. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and collecting medical histories. Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical regulations using the EPIC electronic medical record. Support medical administrative functions including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling insurance verification. Utilize knowledge of coding for billing purposes as required. Operate diagnostic equipment such as EKG, and spirometry when necessary. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office or clinic environment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. Qualifications Proficiency in the use of "EPIC" electronic medical record is mandatory. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential. Experience in Internal Medicine, Preventative Wellness Care, and Urgent Care is preferred. Strong skills in patient care and service-oriented communication. Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks including scheduling and electronic record management. Basic understanding of coding practices for insurance purposes is a plus. Ability to work effectively with multitasking while maintaining strict attention to detail. Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is required. Phlebotomy skills required A commitment to providing high-quality care in a compassionate manner.
