Job Description

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Prepare exam rooms and assist with cardiovascular exams, stress tests, EKGs, Holter monitor placements, and pacemaker checks. Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation. Review and document patient history, medications, and symptoms accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Administer medications and injections under physician direction. Perform phlebotomy and process laboratory specimens. Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and follow-up care related to cardiology services. Ensure proper cleaning, stocking, and sterilization of exam rooms and medical instruments. Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent CMA or RMA Knowledge of medical terminology Able to maintain confidentiality of patient information Effective organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other applicable laws and regulations #BBN
