Job Description

Nutrihealth is a medical weight loss company focused on improving patient's overall health. Patient's satisfaction is our top priority. We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Medical Assistant to join our Nutrihealth team. Teamwork and professionalism are crucial. This role will float to other locations as needed. Duties as the Medical Assistant position include but are not limited to: Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality Assisting the front desk staff on as needed basis in scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations Confirming Prior Authorizations are required and submitting requests promptly, following up on delayed or outstanding Prior Authorizations, and Working proactively to prevent denials through accurate and timely submissions Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Qualifications A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and EHR systems preferred but will train the right candidate Strong patient service and care skills Benefits Paid holidays Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) PTO
